Silvia began her career in Fine Arts, working for several years as a restoration specialist in mural painting and archaeological conservation, including a year restoring a Roman villa in Andalusia. She later studied ceramics in Madrid, where she discovered the medium that now defines her practice. Her work is informed by Mediterranean classical forms, ancient cultural references, and an interest in mathematical geometry.

Working primarily without a wheel, Silvia uses intuitive hand-building techniques such as coil construction to create sculptural, one of a kind pieces. She embraces irregular forms and tactile surfaces, avoiding mass production in favor of a deeply personal making process. She develops her own colors by mixing mineral powders, limiting each palette to just a few tones. Her ceramics balance historical influence with contemporary expression, emphasizing craftsmanship, individuality, and material sensitivity.
